If there’s one thing that’s decidedly true about my work, it’s this: things are never EVER boring.

A few times each year, I’m privileged to introduce (or resurrect) some new (or perennial) public offering—invitations designed to evolve and increase support for my clients, my colleagues and our community at large.

Professionally speaking, these opportunities keep me on my proverbial toes. Personally speaking, they ultimately serve to deepen and broaden the healing environments within which I converse and traverse

All that to say, if you’ve been seeking a chance to connect with me in a new or different kind of capacity, consider hopping on board for one of these upcoming opportunities. I am truly eager to welcome you!

Rediscovering Me: “Who Am I Beyond My Trauma?”
For Female Survivors of Relational Trauma
Facilitated by specialist coaches Jacki Elsom, Esther Elmer and Gaelyn Rae Emerson, Rediscovering Me: “Who Am I Beyond My Trauma?” is a truly DIFFERENT kind of support group! Rediscovering Me is designed to support women during the second, third and ongoing stages of their trauma recoveries—those ready to “reengage” life, all within a brave, empowering and trauma-sensitive environment of other women seeking similar goals. Rediscovering Me has two online components: (a) 24 live weekly sessions via Zoom, and (b) a privately moderated Facebook group exclusively for Rediscovering Me participants. Cohort 4.0 will open on June 1, 2022, with live sessions via Zoom from 4-5:30pm Eastern Time.

DreamGirls: Designing Our New Lives
Join Anytime! (Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 1pm–2:30pm ET)
Unlike Avenue D’s topic-oriented approach, DreamGirls provides a flexible, open-ended and open-topic forum, for clients who are actively and independently exploring their “new normal,” alone in the aftermath of relationships mortally wounded by sexual betrayal. DreamGirls provides twice-weekly online coaching sessions, facilitated by Gaelyn Rae Emerson. DreamGirls seeks to help women resolve their trauma through active and progressive “reconnection,” inspiring them to rediscover, reclaim and reorient themselves—all within the context of other women who are doing it, too. Clients can join DreamGirls at any point, on a month-to-month basis (no long-term commitment required.) Best of all? For clients who cannot afford the full group fee, DreamGirls invites participants to join on a “pay what you can” basis. Please note: DreamGirls session times and days occasionally change, based upon active group participants. Email gaelynrae@womeneverafter.com to confirm current session schedule.

SIGNATURE SUPPORT GROUP (Short-Term Closed Group):
Avenue D: “Road to Debridement”

New Cohorts Begin Tuesday, March 8th, 2022 (3pm or 7pm ET)
Avenue D: “Road to Debridement” (aka “de-bride-ment”) is a 12-week, topic-based support group for divorced, divorcing and permanently separated survivors of sexual and/or relational betrayal. Avenue D incorporates original materials written by Gaelyn Rae Emerson; each week’s topic is designed to uncover and explore a different topical component of recovery for survivors of betrayal-related separation and divorce. Avenue D seeks to help women resolve their trauma through “remembrance and mourning,” processing their pain with purpose, presence and compassionate forward-focus. Gaelyn facilitates new cohorts for Avenue D at multiple points throughout the year. Next cohorts will likely begin on March 2022. Email gaelynrae@womeneverafter.com to join the registration waitlist.

2022 DreamGirls Sisterhood Retreat: “Hearts on Fire… The Courage Continues”
FEBRUARY 18–20, 2022 in Portland, Oregon
WHAT IT IS: The 2021 DreamGirls Sisterhood Retreat is weekend of love, laughter and fellowship. It’s a chance to meet our fellow DreamGirls, all survivors of betrayal-related separation or divorce. It’s an opportunity for us to share our experience, courage, hope and healing, in a relaxed and comfortable domestic setting. It’s a chance to recharge our collective batteries, and to gain a fresh surge of courage for wherever life and love lead us next. Our retreat will feature a full-yet-informal program, with lots of thoughtfully scheduled content and plenty of relaxation breaks, including several creative and embodiment activities to round out the weekend. Because we believe in creating consent-based environments, your participation in ANY retreat activity is entirely optional. WHAT IT ISN’T: While our retreat is designed, hosted and facilitated by highly-skilled coaches, our retreat is NOT a formal coaching session—nor is it an intensive therapy weekend. WHAT IT INCLUDES: Retreat fees cover two nights of accommodations with multiple participants sharing each bedroom; five meals plus snacks and beverages, all printed materials and retreat supplies, plus a few little gifts and goodies. WHAT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE: Your registration fee does NOT include airfare, vehicular or other transportation to the retreat site itself.

Cost: $375 ($50 discount for registrations received by December 31, 2021), divided into three payments of $125 each.

MOURNING TO MOVE FORWARD: Betrayal-Related Grief Support
(Training workshop for helping professionals)
Thursday, November 21, 2019 (7–9pm ET)
Need fresh insights into the devastating experience of Betrayal-Related Grief (BRG)—or more specifically, what to do with it when it hits? Expanding beyond the model created by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, this 2-hour interactive workshop will (a) introduce some lesser-known constructs to identify, reframe and respond to traumatic grief, (b) explore the relevance of mourning in clients who present with addiction, trauma and/or both, and (c) identify ways that grief and mourning can happen compassionately, constructively and concurrently, all within the context of relationships healing from the tectonic impact of betrayal.

The SASH conference is an annual training and networking event, specifically for professionals who work within the fields of sexual health, sexual addiction and sexual betrayal trauma. At this year’s conference, I’ll be giving two presentations. (1) To kickoff the day on October 5, I’ll facilitate a roundtable discussion entitled, Not-So-Alone in the Aftermath: Growing Resources for Divorced, Divorcing and Separated Partners of Sex Addicts. (2) Then, together with my colleague Catherine Etherington, Head of Recovery for Naked Truth Project, I’m presenting a workshop entitled, Who Cares About Coaching? Your Tough Questions Answered. Best of all, members of the public are invited to join us for FREE on October 5, to participate in SASH’s Community Awareness Day activities—so you can attend my second presentation without having to pay the conference registration fee.

La Loba: The Woman Who Knows is an intensive weekend of grieving, growing, healing and hope. It’s designed to help you move forward through the trauma of sexual betrayal, supported by others each step of the way: (1) You’ll bravely identify some beloved things you have lost—casualties of addiction, abuse and/or abandonment. (2) You’ll pick up the broken fragments of those tragic losses, letting yourself “feel the feels” that accompany such acts of remembrance and mourning. (3) You’ll discover something beautiful that rises up to fill the void of what’s been forsaken. (4) You’ll take some newly empowered steps forward, moving yourself toward peace, resolution and self-restoration. La Loba is a jam-packed and therapeutic experience, staffed by a large team of couples, coaches and therapists. As such, we’re qualified to help participants process the various themes they’ll encounter during this weekend, including pain, shame, anger, fear, grief, trauma, communication, boundaries, self-identity and so much more. PERSONAL NOTE: A few years ago, I attended this event myself (as a participant, not as a coach) when the crisis of my own marriage reached its breaking point. The gifts I received from La Loba helped me to survive the compound tragedies that followed—which is precisely WHY I’m thrilled to join the staffing the team for this year’s event! The all-inclusive cost for La Loba is $660 (excluding transportation).
